Announcements 04/19/16

GTT Meetings
  • There will be a meeting during GTT on Thursday, April 22nd for junior class officers only.
  • Prom Meeting for all prom participants will be in the theater this Thursday. Voting for King and Queen will take place at that time along with last minute rules for Prom and After Prom and any questions you might still have.


Jostens
  • Any sophomore that needs their class ring serviced, Jostens will be here during GTT Thursday in the Library.


National Honor Society
  • National Honor Society is selling cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and pies at lunch in the library. Price is 50 cents each.


Prom
  • Grand March Tickets are now on sale for $3 each.
  • Table Seating will be open for Prom participants tomorrow. There are 10 tables of seating for 6, and 9 tables of seating for 8. Go to the library to sign up.
  • Pictures will be taken by the publications staff for a flat rate of $5. They will email you the JPEG file for you to print.

  • Scholarships are being updated weekly on the website:
  • College days will only be allowed at the discretion of Ms. Caldwell or Mr. Brown.

Drivers Ed
  • Summer Driver Education registration will open on Monday, April 18th. The cost is $175 for in-district students and $275 for out-of-district students. Enrollment forms are online (Mr. Belville's website) or in the HS office.  
  • NOTE: A student will not be considered enrolled in the summer driver education class until this form is returned with payment. The application and payment need to be received by May 20th, 2016. Seats are limited, and they are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Team Corn Detasseling paperwork is in the office for anyone looking for a summer job!

Announcements 04/11/16

Drama
  • Drama Boosters is raffling a Smart TV, Mini Fridge, & Chromebook. Chances are $5 each or 5 for $20. See a Drama kid for tickets. Prizes will be drawn at Anything Goes.

Sports
  • Track is at Lewistown at 4:00.
  • Baseball plays at Williamsfield at 4:30. Players should be dismissed at 2:15.
  • Softball plays at Delavan at 4:30. Players should be dismissed at 2:30.

National Honor Society
  • Reminder that all desserts are to be brought to Mrs. Nau this Friday before Anything Goes.

Prom
  • Seniors, voting for Prom Royalty Court will be next Thursday, April 14th. Those nominated are required to attend both Grand March and Prom.
  • Grand March Participants need to turn in their forms and pick up Grand March tickets from Mrs. Nau. Grand March tickets go on sale Wednesday for $3 each.


SWAT Members
  • Any SWAT members that want to go on the field trip April 22nd need to get their forms from Ms. Jackson.

Tigers Take Care
  • If you are interested in participating in the Tigers Take Care Dodgeball Tournament on April 16th at 10:30 am, registration forms and rules are available on the IBHS Student Council website. The site can be accessed from Illini Bluffs' home page. Each team needs a minimum of 6 players (no more than 8) with an entry fee of $5 per person. Forms need to be turned into Mrs. Roderick's mailbox in the IBHS office with each player's money AND each player's insurance forms. Forms will not be accepted if they are incomplete.
  • The King and Queen of the Jungle competition is for Juniors and Seniors who want to show that they rule the school. It will be on April 12th and $5 to enter the competition. There will be a spirit, talent, and question and answer portion. Student Council members will walk around with buckets for each contestant. The contestant with the most money at the end of the night wins. All proceeds will go to St. Jude and the Tigers Take Care Event. You can sign up online at https://tigerstakecare.weebly.com

Announcements 04/04/16

Compass Testing
  • Compass testing will take place at IBHS tomorrow. Seniors planning on going to ICC that have not taken the placement test should sign up with Ms. Caldwell. The Compass test is used for class placement/class registration purposes at ICC. Students interested in taking Dual credit that have not taken the ACT are also encouraged to sign up for the Compass test because they must pass the reading test. 

Drama
  • Drama Students need to turn in their Spaghetti Dinner tickets to Mrs. Roderick by 3:15 today.

  • Senior Top Ten and senior class officers will meet Thursday during GTT in the Library conference room.

Chamber Singers

  • Any student, grades 9-11, interested in auditioning for the IBHS Chamber Singers ensemble for the 2016-2017 school year should attend an interest meeting right after school (3:15) on Friday, April 8th in the choir room.  We will discuss expectations of those selected to sing in the ensemble, as well as go over audition materials and sign up for audition times during this meeting.  If there is a conflict and you are unable to attend the meeting, please swing by the choir room to talk with Miss Hartzell BEFORE Friday.  Auditions will be held after school on Friday, April 22nd in the choir room.
